Physician Biographies
Amor A. Barongan, MD
Providing excellent medical care to patients in Southwest Virginia since 1972, Dr. Amor Barongan brings experience and a caring attitude to patient care. She has special interest in treating diabetes, COPD and hypertension. In addition to seeing patients in the office, Dr. Amor Barongan is on the medical staff at Wellmont Lonesome Pine Hospital. After earning her medical degree from the University of Santo Thomas in The Philippines, Dr. Amor Barongan completed her residency at Misericordia Hospital in New York, N.Y. She then completed a fellowship at New Rochelle Hospital Medical Center in New Rochelle, N.Y.

Antoine Habre, MD
Dr. Habre received his medical degree
from Lebanese University School of Medicine, Beirut. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Staten Island University Hospital, New York, and a fellowship in pulmonary/critical care/sleep medicine at Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, Ga.

Francis M. Jaynal, MD
Working as a Cardiologist/Internist since 1971, Dr. Francis Jaynal has extensive experience in heart care. Dr. Jaynal has practiced in Norton since 1991. Utilizing his training, he performs both non-invasive and invasive cardiology procedures. Dr. Jaynal is a Fellow in the American College of Quality Care, and he is certified by the American College of Cardiology in ECG Interpretation.

Anilkumar Joshi, MD, FACC
Dr. Joshi received his medical degree from M.S. University in Baroda, India. He completed his residency at the Catholic Medical Center in Queens, New York, and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Joshi also belongs to the American Society of Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He currently resides and practices in Norton, Virginia.

Thomas Roatsey, DO
Dr. Roatsey is Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians and Preventative Medicine. He also is a Certified Medical Review Officer by the Medical Review Officer Certification Council. After completing his medical education at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 1992, he finished his Internship at Millcreek Community Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania. Dr. Roatsey was Family Practice Resident at Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, West Virginia before completing his Residency at Millcreek Community Hospital in 1995. Prior to joining Wellmont, Dr. Roatsey was previously an Urgent Care Physician at Southeast Georgia Health Systems in Brunswick, Georgia.

James Raj, MD
Dr. Raj graduated from Stanley Medical College, University of Madras in Madras, India. He conducted his Internship at Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco, New York. His Residency in General Surgery was completed at New York Medical College Hospital, Westchester County Medical Center in Valhalla, New York. Dr. Raj completed his residency in Otolaryngology & Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Miami Medical Center, Jackson Memorial Hospital Miami, FL. Previously, Dr. Raj practiced at Morehead Clinic in Morehead, Kentucky, O’Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens, Ohio, and Knox Community Hospital, Mount Vernon, Ohio.
