Physician Biographies
Jorge Lodeiro, MD
Dr. Lodeiro is a certified diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Board of Obstetrics, Division of Maternal and Fetal Medicine. He completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Mount Sinai Hospital in Hartford, Conn., and a fellowship in maternal and fetal medicine at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, Conn. He received his medical degree from the University
of Carabobo in Valencia, Venezuela, where he also completed a specialization course in perinatal medicine. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Fla. Most recently, Dr. Lodeiro served as a perinatologist on the staff of St. Luke’sPerinatal Center in Bethlehem, Pa. He previously served as the director of maternal and fetal medicine at St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital
and Humana Women’s Hospital, both in Tampa. He also has extensive academic experience, serving as an associate professor at the University ofMississippi, an assistant professor at Syracuse University in New York and an instructor at the University of Connecticut Health Center. Dr. Lodeiro is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Society of Perinatal Obstetricians.
